TSOT 559. Masculine
Hey I’m back!! I had a much needed vacation and time away from caring for my mother in law. We took a long trip.. from Ohio to Texas to see our new grandson 😊. We think he’s pretty handsome/cute, we may be prejudice though. This grandma thinks he lives to far away!😳

I decided with Father’s Day around the corner to make a masculine card, that’s our theme also. I have used some retired DSP that has a plaid in it for the Double Trouble request. I paired it up with a retired Stampin Up set.

TSOT 556 using Die Cuts
I haven’t used this stamp set for a while, it’s called what could be better. I used one of Stampin Ups new in-colors, Orchid Oasis. I made my own stitched square frames. Are used the stitched squares that is retired from Stampin Up. I inked up the small stripes embossing folder before I ran it through the big shot.
I’ll look forward to seeing everyone’s take on this sketch 😊

TSOT 555. Pastels
The last few challenges I have pretty much done my own thing. Not following either of the cards sketch or the suggested theme. This one I tried to follow both 😊. I had some cut out pieces from this stamp set- Shaded Summer. Decided to use them on this card so I paired up the soft succulent and silver with some blushing bride and petal pink.
This is an easy sketch to follow, I hope to see some of your creations, pastels can be so lovely. This was a fun one to do thank you for coming to see my card. Let me know what you think, it’s nice to hear from someone once in a while.

New catalog 😊
Bleaching #2. Tahitian Tide
Tahitian Tide bleached out to a pretty vanilla shade. I cut 3 of the wreath Die from the Sun Prints bundle and stacked them up. Wanted to keep it pretty simple to not take away from the wreath so all I added was the sentiment. The background was stamped with bleach and Tahitian Tide ink.

New Catalog time!!🙂
Bleaching #1. Orchid Oasis
I was watching a video on YouTube and the demonstrator did some bleaching on the new In Colors. I thought they were so pretty I decided to try my hand at making a card with each of them. You’ve got it this is the first one - Orchid Oasis. It bleachers out to a pink tone, I paired it up with blushing bride and it seemed to need very vanilla not basic white, what do you think?

TSOT 554. Floral
A dear friend from one of my card classes and her husband celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 29th. A special card was needed so I sent them a card with a vase of flowers that will never wilt inside it. You can find the tutorial on splitcoast stampers -pop up vase card is the name I think.
The vase flattens when the card is closed and pops out when opened, it’s not hard to make just a little tricky.

TSOT #553 Things that fly
All right everyone, I have to tell you that I feel like the only thing I followed for this challenge what is the theme. Things that fly, and it’s quite a stretch to say that I followed it. We all think of birds, airplanes, bugs…… Well I had a birthday card that I needed to make for a nephew who is turning 16. His mother told me that He’s into computers, I think gaming. But in honor of him I made this card. Things that fly - could that be the waves in the air or whatever it is that makes our computers work ? I told you it was a stretch 😀

Art Impressions Tea Cup
I had a birthday card that I needed to make for a very dear friend. She loves Tea so I decided to have a go at the Fairy garden tea cup stamp that Kendra designed for her fundraiser for the hospice house in Oregon where she worked. This was my first time to put ink to the stamp, it seemed so daunting to me that I just hadn’t done it yet. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it might be. I like the way it turned out, I know there are things that I could’ve done better, but that’s the way it is with crafting. We always see our mistakes and wish we could’ve done it better.

TSOT #552
I wanted to use up some more scraps and pieces that I had laying around so I paired them with a quick and simple water colored piece using Art Impressions Stamps.😊. This really is an easy card sketch to follow, I hope a lot of you will give it a try!!

Happy Easter
I don’t normally send out Easter cards, decided to send to my Texas children this year. I’ve used supplies from a few different companies, Stamping up, Karen Burniston, Lawn Fawn. It was fun to make 😁

TSOT #547 metallics
Well I did get a card made but neglected to add to the Try Stampin blog page and mine before Tuesday morning! Sorry
The front panel with the flower is embossed in silver and the cut flower was embossed in gold. The background paper is a metallic looking piece that came with the design on it. There is one layer of gold metallic piece between the 2 black piece. I finished it off with 5 gold metric rhinestones

TSOT #546. Lovely greens
Welcome to try Stamping on Tuesdays challenge. This week we have a sketch and a theme just like usual. I did not follow the sketch I followed the theme Shades of green. I have a sister whose favorite color is green so I want to send her this card just because I love her. Sending cards is becoming a thing of the past for some but not me. I like sending out cards - just because I’m thinking of someone. I send a lot of birthday cards also and like to have some sympathy and get well soon cards made up ahead. I also make a lot of cards and leave the sentiment off so I can add it when I need a special card for someone. When was the last time you sent a just because card to a friend or family member? This sketch is a pretty easy one to use even though I didn’t use it so why don’t you give it a try. You don’t have to follow both sketch and the theme just pick one like I did or if you’re getting brave use both 😊.
This is a box card, it has three different panels in it to add your images on so that it looks like it has depth. You can’t tell in the picture but it’s also a Shaker card. I added thin packaging on the outside adhering it down with tape, and put sequins in each square side. You can see them at the base of the front section. It was really easy to make, if your interested in directions just let me know in the comments section below. I will probably decorate a single piece of card stock to fit in the envelope with this to give it more stability for mailing.
Have a blessed day and I’ll look forward to seeing your card!
(Here is the sketch that I didn’t use)

TSOT #545. Animal fun!
When I saw the theme for this week I remembered that I had some otters that I had colored a few weeks ago and knew right away I wanted to use them. I decided to use the photo collage pop up die from Karen Burniston on the inside to make the otters appear to move in the water, this was a fun card to make. 😄
For the inside of the card I made a background water scene, then put color on the raised side of an embossing folder and added my background paper to emboss it. The otters were added to the Pop die and a couple stamped to be partially in the water. I added the grassy edge and a few cattails and my scene was complete.

TSOT # 544. I ❤️ To watercolor!
I decided to pull out my Art Impressions stamps to make this card. I really do love to watercolor. They are relaxing and really not that difficult to use. I have been Stamping with them for three or four years. Still learning from the creator of them and her daughter! They have videos showing how to use them and teaching techniques. I have accumulated quite a few and really do like them. It’s a stamp company that builds on what you already have. Anything new that comes out in their watercolor line is designed to be able to be used with what you already have. Therefore you can end up accumulating quite a few and everything can be used together! I guess that’s why I like them along with the fact that it’s a watercolor look but done with Stamping and adding the water.
I think I followed the sketch pretty well on this one😊 I changed the circles-the large circle with a different shape and the little circle with a trio of butterflies. Make it your own, just because the sketch has a circle doesn’t mean you can’t change it up!! The sketch is to be an inspiration, let it be that! I hope to see a bunch of entries on this one. Happy stamping/watercoloring 😀
