TSOT #401 Frames

Oh yea, it's Tuesday again 😊 that means it is time for all of you to join in with us for this two week challenge.  Now that shouldn't be hard, you have 2 whole weeks to be inspired by the card sketch (pitcured below) and by all the designers creations on Try Stampin' on Tuesdays  page.
                                                                     Here's mine

I "sorta" followed the sketch 😏  No circle with sentiment I decided for the sentiment that I wanted  I needed a long and wider piece and then added the butterfly to take the place of the circle.  The small frame center is popped up to add dimension.  I have really been enjoying the new double stitched rectangles from Stampin' Up occasions catalog. They are pretty easy to make frames with them. They have the stitched look on both pieces (inside and outside cut) as you can see in the small frame with the pop up center. That means you have double bang for your buck.

Some of these pieces were left over from a stamp party I had this week for first time stampers, that was so fun to introduce stamping to them. I changed, added to, and spruced up the card a bit for this challenge. The white piece is embossed with the SAB Country Floral Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder. Oh my this one is soooo lovely.... I have more samples with it that I'll be showing in the near future so stay tuned. There is sadness associated with this folder though, it will be saying goodbye at the end of SAB on March 29th.  I do hope they come out with some new lovelies like this in the new annual catalog that will be debuting in June.

Looking forward to many of you  trying your hand at this sketch, you don't have to follow it exactly as you can see with mine.  Have a wonderful day and if you ever have a question on something I've made and posted just leave me a comment and I'll get back with you.   Hoping to see many works of art from this wonderful sketch and theme.

TSOT #400

I don't often make cards with just designer series papers but I enjoyed making this card as this paper is just lovely.  One of my sisters likes the color green so that's why I put these on the green base, plus it made the papers pop! thanks for stopping in and have a great time creating a simple card with any designer paper you have.

The Joy of Sets March Blog Hop

Image may contain: text that says 'The Joy Of Sets March 2019 Easter Blog Hop'

I so enjoyed participating the last Blog Hop that I decided to try my had at it again.  I enjoy going on a hop myself at times and hope you'll enjoy this one, our theme is 3-D Easter.

As I thought about what to do I wanted it to be something different.  I love making bags, boxes and those types of items but thought it would be nice to do something bit different this time.    We don't do a lot with easter bunny and ..... so I came up with a Lumiere.  Thought I'd display it on my end table for all to see.  I truly believe this!!!!  Because He Lives....I can face tomorrow.

Thank you for "hoppin" in - if you started at the beginning then you've just come from  Angie McKenzie's blog.  I hope you'll keep going and check out all the other blogs.  It's easy to do that just click on the next button and it will take you to  Rebecca Jo Unwin's blog.

TSOT#399 mix it up

Are you enjoying the mix it up challenges?  They give us more options since we can use either the picture, sketch, or both.  I used both on this card, just changed up the half circle to a triangle piece.  I don't have many succulents but found a set from the paper pumpkin back a couple years.

Be sure and check out all the other designer cards- we all see things differently!  how will you use this mix it up challenge, can't wait to see.

TSOT # 398

Decided to make a card for a birthday that will be coming up in March. Monochromatic cards can be challenging 😊 and I think I did okay on this one.  I used Stampin' Up card stock and plaid DSP, the butterflies where cut from another piece of DSP from the Occasions catalog and colored them in.

I decided to do a bit more on the inside than I usually do- added some paper strips instead of pitching them and cut the Birthday from the same DSP I used on the front. Finished it off with another butterfly.
Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you'll try to create a monochromatic card with us.

   Theme; Monochromatic

Homemade DSP

Have you ever made your own DSP paper? I have a few times, there’s a YouTube channel called Artful Stamping with Ruth that I enjoy watching...
