Meadow sunrise - FMS 221

Hello, it is rather late here but I wanted to post this.  I made this card today and hadn't put any sentiment on it when I remembered the challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.  Their challenge was to make the sentiment the focal point of the card.  We have friends that are facing some uncertain times and I thought this would be great to give them at church tomorrow when we see them.  Thanks for stopping by to check our my Vision.

SIP challenge #32 entry

I haven't entered a challenge for a while so I saw this one and thought I'd give it a try.  They have a wide range of ideas to pick from since they are using the tic-tac-toe theme.  Fun, Fun, Fun.   I decided to use the line with  the Red- Love- Bling  to make my card.

SIP Tic Tac Toe 32 800

Love word thinlit cut from a double stack of black foam then I used glitter glue to make it pop more(not sure I like it but it was done) Hearts, hearts and more hearts for the love space.
Rose Red card stock, basic black, whisper white, glitter gold mini hearts glued onto rose red heart.
Bling!!  added some Sequin Trim, Candy Dots and the glitter glue for this space.
Well that makes  TIC-TAC-TOE  is it a winner???  Well maybe and maybe not but it was fun.

Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge #255

I have some new "toys" to play with!!!  :0     Oh what fun, I've had.                                                      Intoducing the Freezer Paper technique.  I saw a you-tube video on this and decided I wanted to try.

 1. Take the freezer paper and cut it with your die.
2.  Lay your cut design on Watercolor paper - Shinny side down.
3.  Iron - Ironing will melt the wax a bit and seal it off so the color wash doesn't get under the shape.
Iron this well- all edges down tight.
4.  Water color as desired,
5. Gently peal the freezer paper off -  TADA  your design will be uncolored.
(This is similar to using the heat gun with white embossing powder and the stamp set Rose                     Wonder that co-ordinates.  It can be bought as a bundle from the Made from the Heart                          Spring/Summer catalog - available till May 31 )

This is the new Rose Garden Thinlit..... A Beautiful addition to the stamping family.

Image to use if you desire:  I turned it.

Happy Birthday Jackson

I made a New Years Resolution that I would send everyone in the family a card this year!!! Let me tell you that is quit a few people as my husband and I together have 11 siblings and then with all the nieces and nephews - regular and the greats I'll have a bunch of cards to show you this year for that alone.  Seems like a stamper/crafter should be doing this!!!    I used a new to me stamp set, punches and die to make this- all can be found in the Made from the Heart stamp catalog.  If you are ever interested in anything you see just leave me a message and I'll get back to you.

Happy Anniversary

I have had this stamp for a while and never used it.  My sister and brother-in-law celebrated their anniversary on Jan. 1st.   I had this done last year but didn't get it sent for them to receive before their special day.  I tried to make a sand and beach scene with a sunset.  not so sure I like the water, sky line.

It was a challenge for me and I may have to try again as I have another one embossed to color and work with.   Thanks for looking and have a good day.

Card class #2

Isn't this pretty?  I was looking around Pinterest and found a similar card and since I wanted to use this flower and punch decided to design my own.  Now it isn't coping!!!  It is CASING  you see something you like and yet don't have all the supplies to make the exact card so you use what you have.

This could be used for a variety of occasions, birthday, anniversary, sympathy..... just to name a few.  Thanks for taking a peek, have a wonderful day browsing.  Vicki

TSOT #253 color challenge

Time for my first Try Stampin on Tuesday challenge.      I tried, I really did!!!  Our challenge is a color theme.....     Black, white, and red.
I only used a little bit of pumpkin pie in the sky and to accent the snow drifts.  The sky almost appears to have a little purple in it but I assure you that is just the shading of the red and black.   Thanks for stopping by, why don't you join us for a new year of challenges!!   :0)

This card will be going to a dear nephew, whose birthday is on the 10th.  I do hope the Lord will be near and dear to him this year.  His mother passed away last fall so this is a year full of firsts.

When I was on Pinterest I saw a card with a orange, red purple sunset and I really liked it, this is a take off that card.  When you see something you like BUT you don't have stamps and all the supplies they used just make it your way with what you have as I have here.

Pocket Card

Hello, thought I'd make a pocket card for my card class.  It is a fun card to make and has lots of possibilities.  I'm always in need of men's cards, this one also is going to show my ladies how to mask.  The lower section folds up and I used a 1/8 th inch score tape to adhere the sides, the note card pulls out.

Meausrements:
Card base 8.5 x 4.25
Score at 2" and 6"
The 2" section is the pocket part of the card and is decorated then folded up.  The top of the card has the extra piece added to help hold the front down.  Mine here is 3 3/4"x  2 3/4"  but you could make it any size you want.

Maybe you'll give a card like this a try, and if you do, why not leave me a comment.  I'd love to see what you come up with.

Homemade DSP

Have you ever made your own DSP paper? I have a few times, there’s a YouTube channel called Artful Stamping with Ruth that I enjoy watching...
