TSOT # 544. I ❤️ To watercolor!

I decided to pull out my Art  Impressions stamps to make this card. I really do love to watercolor.  They are relaxing and really not that difficult to use. I have been Stamping with them for three or four years. Still learning from the creator of them and her daughter!  They have videos showing how to use them and teaching techniques.  I have accumulated quite a few and really do like them. It’s a stamp company that builds on what you already have. Anything new that comes out in their watercolor line is designed to be able to be used with what you already have. Therefore you can end up accumulating quite a few and everything can be used together! I guess that’s why I like them along with the fact that it’s a watercolor look but done with Stamping and adding the water.

I think I followed the sketch pretty well on this one😊  I changed the circles-the large circle with a different shape and the little circle with a trio of butterflies.  Make it your own, just because the sketch has a circle doesn’t mean you can’t change it up!! The sketch is to be an inspiration, let it be that! I  hope to see a bunch of entries on this one.  Happy stamping/watercoloring πŸ˜€

TSOT # 543. Dreaming of summer

We’re always told not to wish our lives away but it seems this time of year I’m always ready for spring and summer. I decided to use this stamp set that’s a hostess set from Stampin Up. I think I followed both the see-through technique and the sketch, what do you think?  I did turn the card so that I could get my tree and swinging girl with the other elements needed.  My squares turned into clouds, sentiment, and a bird. Well what do you think does it past muster? I hope you join us for this one it’s a fun one have a wonderful day.

TSOT #542 birthday flowers

A couple weeks ago we had a monochromatic challenge, well I’m revisiting that and combining this weeks challenge of flowers. I have a sister in law who’s birthday is on the 14th of February.  I thought this might be a pretty one for her.  Pinterest is a wonderful place to go for inspiration. I saw a card someone had made with white embossed flowers on red and thought it was lovely.  I played around with a few different ways to make this, my sentiment got lost when I tried putting it over the flowers like the sketch shows so I moved mineπŸ™‚,  Isn’t it nice to change things up a bit.

I hope you try your hand at this, flower cards are always nice to have on hand.  Thanks for stopping by and if you have a free moment let me know what you think of my card.  Happy Stamping!

TSOT # 541 Valentine

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner the colors and theme just yell out —make a valentine!!   So I listened and didπŸ˜€.

This second picture shows you how my card opens up. Untie the ribbon and the front panel pulls up.

This third picture shows the pop-up on the inside that is hidden behind the box 😊.  More hearts pop up when the bottom front panel is pulled down. This is the first time I’ve used this die , it’s called the parcel pop-up.  Karen Burniston designed it, I had to watch the instruction video more than a couple times to get it all put together. I’m sure I’ll be making more cards with it (and watching how it’s put together πŸ˜„!)

I realized after I took the pictures and added them that I had forgotten to use gold πŸ₯΄.  I could add a little bit of bling and/ or change the ribbon to gold. What do you think? Keep all the pinks and reds or add the gold?
