TSOT451

I’m not a square card maker because it takes more postage to mail in the United States. So I made my card the regular size for an invitation size envelope  5 1/2 x 4 1/4. I was going for my shape in the center to look like a piece of pie, I used an old embossing folder, thought it reminded me of the lattice on the top of a pie, what do you think does it? Two different kinds of designer paper actually I believe there are three on this card. Have fun making this sketch and using some of that old DSP paper that you have(mine ya from last years annual stampin up catalog), Or some new that you have.
Don’t forget about entering the Facebook challenge, you can use any sketch that has been up on TSOT’s site. There will be prizes!

Finding time to stamp!

I took some time and played with a stamp set on Thursday & Friday while my mother in law napped.  I'm finding that I don't have as much time for myself.  I used to get work done in the morning and then stamp in the afternoon,  that no longer works!!  oh my getting into a new routine isn't easy.

I'm not sure that I like this last card with the tree stencil and colored embossing paste on the background.  For one you can't tee much of the background trees and another my browns didn't match up.  Well some we love and others we are just okay with.  I added sentiments then sent them out and on their way I do hope that they will make someone smile.
One word to the wise...... when using a set with the photopolymer stamps (actual clear stamps) if you have small stamps like this set does be careful where you put them down.  After finishing these cards I now have a missing stamp!!!!!!!!!!!! (the one that made the leaves on the trees) :0(
I don't know what happened to it!  I Thought I'd put it away but those little stamps can sorta stick to  you or your clothes - and I was up and down a good bit going to check on my M-I-Law.
Thanks for stopping by and if you would tell me what you think of my cards, I do enjoy my stamping time and would love to get some feedback.

TSOT Jungle Fever for #450

Fun Fun who doesn't enjoy going to the zoo and seeing all the animals from the jungle and all the other countries?!  On a side note I put myself through college working at a Children's Zoo in the summers.  :0)  I worked mostly in the "petting" area which had lots of farm type animals.  chicken, ducks, young goats-lots of them the children could buy ice cream cones filled with dog food to feed them,  3 pigs in a Three Little Pigs space...they were NOT little!!!!  lamas, tortoise, fallow deer and a special animal each summer, one summer it was a baby camel!

Now I know these are not all jungle animals but I couldn't resist. With  all the craziness in the world right now I decided to send cards "just because"!!!  Jennifer McGuire suggested to make cards to give to employees at grocery stores.....but since I'm not able to go anywhere do to caring for my mother-in-law I'm sending cards.  Soooo as I said last week make a card and give/send away to make someone smile!!!!

TSOT #449 Pop Of Color

Life can be hard at times, I’m just thankful that I have a heavenly father who helps us during those times, even as far as carrying us and we can’t go on. My husband’s family has lost two cousins just since his sister passed away in our home on March 26. I know you didn’t stop to hear about all that but if you think about it and you have a moment and say a prayer for us.

I did manage to find some time to work on a card for this I was so glad to get in my craft room, it’s an uplifting place to be for me and it makes me smile to be able to create something. Don’t let the hardness of life take away your joy still do the things that make you happy. Here is my card I know it’s pretty simple I think I followed the schedule pretty well. Have a wonderful day and make a card, send it to someone, make them smile.
