Welcome to my little corner on the web. I want to share with you projects I make and at times share how easy it is to copy! Yes you are to copy any and all you see here, some you'll like and some you may not care for but I hope that won't send you away for good. Let's have a GREAT time stamping and creating.
Our last theme of the year 2022 is snowy days, I can’t believe that this year is almost over!! Snowy days always makes me think of snowmen. When our boys were young they used to spend so much time outside making snowman, igloos, sliding down the barn hill. One year they made a snowman for each one of us that’s 6 snowmen. Another year they made a snowman so tall they had to stand on the picnic table just to put the head on it. So much fun!! I decided to pull out an old stamp set and use it. I used the new puff paint that Stampin Up came out with in their holiday mini catalog. I hadn’t used it yet and thought it would be fun to try it. Not sure I’m crazy about it but I’m sure I’ll figure out something else to do with it. If you have any suggestions for me I sure would love to hear them. Just leave it in the comments below! 😁
Are you all set for Christmas? My husband and I just have a couple more things to get and then we are done. I’m glad we’re not going to have to get into a lot of the chaos in the stores. I already experience that one day waiting about 45 minutes in line. That’s just plum crazy!
I’ve been busy making cards just for fun as I have all my Christmas cards done and sent out. This was a fun card to make and I’ll use it for somebody’s birthday as I have a lot of birthdays that hit in January and February when normally there’s snow on the ground.
Have a great day and merry Christmas and of course- happy Stamping -see you next year.
So after getting home, getting sick and spending thanksgiving on the couch 🥴. I’m finally getting back on my Ohio feet. I’ve been busy working on bulk production of Christmas cards. (These will be sent to “special” people in my life as I watercolored them.)
Thanks to all in the Try Stamping family for understanding and giving me time off. I’ll really work to be a part of all of you again and post my visions. God bless and a very merry Christmas season to you all.
Hello!! I’m so glad you stopped in. I’ve been trying to keep up with the challenges. Some weeks I’m on the ball and some weeks I’m not. Last week I had things on my blog and I forgot to add it to the demo site. If you didn’t get to see my card you should go back and look at it. I made it for my grandson whose birthday was October 9. Decided to pull out some of my art impressions Stamps for this week had a hankering to do some water coloring. I fussy cut 2 of the birds one this one. Pretty soon we won’t be seen too many birds. They don’t stick around in Ohio too terribly much in the winter. We’ve had unseasonably cool weather where I live but today it’s a lovely day and I’m seeing on the front porch swing enjoying a cup of coffee while I work on this. My garden is probably done. We planted some late peas, but with the colder weather I’m not sure they will do anything. Lots of blooms, a few pods, but no peas. Well I guess you don’t get anything at all if you don’t try. I hope you have a lovely day and enjoy the fall season. Our trees are turning lovely and it’s a busy day here on our farm. Happy Stamping
Happy Tuesday, here it try Stampin on Tuesday we put up new cards. Sometimes we use the inspiration and sketch, Sometimes we don’t. I didn’t have any monsters so I decided to use my robots (Stampin up) that I have. My card isn’t really like the sketch. It does have two main images sort of like the sketch does but since I decided to use my Lawn Fawn pop up platform die I guess it doesn’t really look like the sketch much. This card is for my grandson whose birthday is 9 October. The robots sort of looks like they were made out of Legos so that’s why I used it. He is crazy about building with Legos right now.
What will you do with the sketch and theme? I’ll look forward to seeing what everyone makes! Have a lovely day, any day when you get to Stamp is a lovely day! 😊
The second picture is of the card laying flat. If everything added doesn’t go any higher than the backdrop on the card it will go in a regular A2 envelope. Since I made things stand up higher I’m going to have to use a bigger envelope. The base of the platform pushes up as it’s two separate pieces that are connected together; that’s how the card is then mailed. I like it, it’s a fun die to use and make many different card designs with it.Hello, I’m glad you stopped by. Fall is such a nice time of the year. I’d say it’s one of my favorites. It is a busy time though, what with the garden finishing up seems like every time I turn around there is something for me to can. I’m waiting on apples now, my shelves in the basement are waiting for applesauce. Which season do you love the most?
I decided to pull out my Concord & 9th turnabout. When I do these I usually start with a 5.5 square piece then trim it down and use the left over strip for decorating the inside panel of the card. I know I could have used crushed curry, pumpkin pie, and greens but I was in the mood for greens and brown. I’d love to see what you do with this sketch and theme.
Autumn is such a lovely time of the year! Our theme is pumpkins so I pulled out my art impressions stamps to make this scene. I also turned the sketch on the side. Thanks for stopping in, I do hope many of you will give this sketch/theme a try.
Theme - Pumpkins
Isn’t Pinterest a great place to go and see cards-get inspiration??!!! Well I. Think so! I was looking for a simple card for my card class on Tuesday and saw a card similar to this-I don’t think it is copied exactly. I don’t usually do that but like to get an idea and then add to or take away-make it my version.
I may be too late to get on the Try Stampin challenge but decided to get it on my blog. I worked up a bushel of tomatoes today. Had 4 Little helpers late afternoon through early evening. I’m bushed!!!! This time of year I get weary of canning!
This is what I would call clean and simple card, what do you think? I decided to play with the stamp set from the 2022 mini catalog from Stampin Up called Fond of Autumn. The stamp set is unique in that it has a large image that has two different dies that will cut it. One cuts the whole peace out and the other one cuts it into four different pieces. Here I’ve used two different pieces the flowers and the sprig with the berries on the bottom. I did cut two of the flower pieces to use. Some new DSP paper to follow the card sketch and the card was pretty well done just added a sentiment from the stamp set. The banner Die is also included in this set with a few sentiments to use on it.
Thanks for stopping bye looking forward to see what you do with the clean and simple card.
Oh dear I’m so sorry everyone. I had to make an emergency out of state trip for a funeral. I had the perfect stamp for this picture and just didn’t have time to make a card.
Life has been busy I didn’t get a card made for this one. If your here maybe you could give it a try and I’ll get inspiration from you😁.
Oh my goodness, I just about missed putting a card up. I’ve been so busy visiting family out of town and getting everything from the garden put up that it just hit me today Monday and I hadn’t put my card on yet. So I saw this sketch and the theme and my plan was to use this bigger stamp as a type of background. Adding plants over and around it but it just wasn’t working out. So I decided to just follow the theme. I have quite a bit I need to get done before My sister returns to visit before she flies home to Florida. I have a card class coming up which I am not ready for!!! I hope you all will forgive me for not using the sketch. I really did want to try something with this one as it is so unique. the others on the design team did such a great job with it. I hope to see something that you did with it. I might try to work with the sketch some other time and put something up on my blog it intrigues me and I’d like to see what I could do with it when I have more time to sit down and think about it. Thanks for stopping bye and I hope you have a wonderful day.
This type of card is called a monochromatic card that means you use one color scheme with your neutrals. I kind of liked keeping it simple. My sister will enjoy this she’s a lover of green, bike ride or a walker, has many plants sitting outside her door. I thought of her when I saw it and I decided she will be the recipient of this card. Sometimes it’s nice to keep things simple, and then know exactly who to send the card to.
Can you see my polka dots?? The ribbon is dotted 😊 I know that’s not much in the way of polka dots but that’s what I did. This is for a card class in August. I had to get something thought up as I’m going to be out of town-Pinterest is a great help... took parts off of a few cards I looked at and WA-LA , one down one to go. This is my group that lives in a seniors apartment complex and I have to keep out easy and kinda quick. I’ll probably cut out the apples for them so all they have to do is color it.
Sweet treats are definitely cold in the summer time! The more I look at this card the more I think it’s a bit too busy. Should have put the ice cream sweets on solid pieces 🥴. What do you think? I used retired DSP. It was quick and easy to make as I already had the sweets cut out in the stamp case. 😊 This will go on my children’s birthday card file. Maybe their parents will let them have a sweet treat on their birthday! 😁
Thanks for stopping and I do hope you’ll give this sketch a try, it’sa good one.
Do you know what the acronym CASE stands for? Copy and Share Everything! Well that is what this card is, a copy that I believe I saw on Pinterest. I thought it was such a cute card using the new SAB freebie set Hippest Hippos. I’m so sorry I didn’t write the name of the designer down.
Busy days here in Ohio, my sister from Florida is in and we’re heading to Indiana to see family. So thank you for this wonderful idea and card. I thought it quite appropriate for the theme, shine. The Sun shines in the summer and on flowers for blooming. Most flowers like the bright Sun, I know not all, but quite a lot of them do. The card is pretty close to the sketch also, well I thought so what do you think? Picture the pot of flowers as the circle moved to the side and shrunk. Then the grass as the mustard colored strip. ( I know I don’t have a purple strip... shhh don’t tell anyone - tee hee)
Wondering what you’ll do with this fun sketch and theme, I’ll be looking even if I’m in Indiana 😁
I decided to do some water coloring tonight. Art Impressions has a line of stamps called girlfriends. Many of the stamps have 2, 3 or 4 girlfriends in them. I decided to use this one with the three ladies because my two sisters and I will be seeing our brother the end of the month. Do you think he’ll like it?
Trio of textures?! Is that all just a trio? 😀 I may have a few more than 3. I decided to make a sea card since I had the blue piece with the embossing paste water splashes left over from a card class. I added the clouds made from a retired embossing folder. The light blue piece behind the 3 strips was also embossed, I used the 3-d folder Seabed. The costal cabana piece was made with an embossing folder it’s called bubbles. I turned it into a stamp with a Simon Hurley foam, made it hot with my heat gum then pressed it into the embossing folder to make a stamp. I then added ink spritzed with water and stamped. Wala!!😊
These foam pieces can be cleaned off, heated again to get rid of the pattern on it and then used again. I’ve been playing with them quit a bit lately. They work with so many different objects, anything with texture. Turns embossing folders into stamps, the top and bottom of the embossing folder can be used giving 2 different looks. Press them into plastic stencils, your background dies, place mats and walls that have texture.... the list just keeps going.
The background piece was made with watercolor paper and ink I pulled it out of my stash I made last year. I stamped some fishes, seashores, and seaweed on it. The turtle was clear embossed on another piece of watercolor paper from my stash them fussy cut and popped up on the card.
Well I think I covered the card details. I had fun making this one, wonder who will get it! Please try to join us, I know my card is pretty full of different textures and techniques. Don’t let that scare you off just try it your way!! Happy stamping!!
Optional theme- do you think I got it nailed? Bold Color
These little robots have been waiting for me to ink them up so I decided that they would do just fine with bold colors. This is a Stampin Up Card Kit. (Robot Buddies) There are quite a few to pick from and they come with stamp set, decorative adhesive pieces, a mini stamp pad (sometimes 2), card bases, envelopes, stamp dimensionals... everything you need to make the cards is in the package. They even send step by step directions showing how to make suggested cards or you can just do your own thing!
I’ve been searching for different fun fold cards to make and came across this one. (Dawn’s stamping thoughts on YouTube-Double pop up) The directions were easy to follow, it of course I altered mine a bit.
I did follow the sketch and with the bold colors the theme also 😁! Would love to see what you come up with, have a great day and if you have a minute I’d love to know what you think! Happy stamping.
I have been wanting to use some of my Art Impression Stamps lately and decided that today was the day. I used a new set, It’s one of the wa...
