TSOT 591. Fun panel card

Our technique this time is layering. I decided to not follow the sketch and just do some layering. I’m not sure this is what they really meant when they said layering but I made a panel card and there’s lots of layers on it because of the way it all flips. It’s really not a hard card to make just a little bit more time-consuming because of putting it together with each panel. It’s a fun card to make and I know you can find many videos on Pinterest or YouTube on how to make it if your interested.  I would try to add something on here but I cannot figure out how to put videos on my blog.  I used my art impressions free stamps that come when ordering, aren’t they just adorable!?😊

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy some Stamping! Oh and don’t forget check out the other designers.

TSOT 590 - birthday shine and pop!

Hmm….add some shine.  How about a birthday card for a boy that brings shine wherever he goes!   Not sure you can see it real well but I put a shiny glitter on the happy birthday and the number 9.  I used the collage photo pop interactive die from Karen Burniston and added extra photos. As Karen says be sure to test each one added by using a removable tape,  testing,  then adhering permanently.

TSOT 589 Monochromatic

I needed a card to send to a daughter-in-law who’s having a a lot of challenges in her life right now. Our grand son Jackson who lives in Texas is the one that was so sick. Couple weeks ago he was in the hospital again with RSV. He is home now but he’s having breathing treatments. I don’t think I’ve ever made a card with so much purple on it. But with this theme it made sense Because my daughter-in-law loves the color purple. I hope it encourages her, she is such a sweetheart and works so hard with her children. It was an honor to be there and help her while I could. I just wish I could help more but there’s a little bit of distance between Ohio and Texas.

TSOT 588 Sleigh Ride

Welcome to the first challenge of the year 2023! I hope you will join us often and Try Stamping on Tuesday. Our challenges and sketches are fun to do and usually not that hard. You can use one of them, do both of them, or I guess if you wish neither of them. The whole thought is to get you Stamping.

I decided to turn the sketch on this card to accommodate my scene. A winter activity that I always thought would be really fun would be a sleigh ride. There you have it, it’s just as simple as that. I followed the sketch, followed the theme, and Bam it was done. Now it’s your turn let’s see what you can do with this sketch or theme. Looking forward to lots of you participating, tell your stamping friends about us. It’s always so much fun to see what everyone does with the sketch or the theme.

TSOT 587 Snowy Days

Our last theme of the year 2022 is snowy days, I can’t believe that this year is almost over!!  Snowy days always makes me think of snowmen. When our boys were young they used to spend so much time outside making snowman, igloos, sliding down the barn hill.  One year they made a snowman for each one of us that’s 6 snowmen. Another year they made a snowman so tall they had to stand on the picnic table just to put the head on it. So much fun!!  I decided to pull out an old stamp set and use it. I used the new puff paint that Stampin Up came out with in their holiday mini catalog. I hadn’t used it yet and thought it would be fun to try it. Not sure I’m crazy about it but I’m sure I’ll figure out something else to do with it. If you have any suggestions for me I sure would love to hear them. Just leave it in the comments below! 😁

Are you all set for Christmas? My husband and I just have a couple more things to get and then we are done. I’m glad we’re not going to have to get into a lot of the chaos in the stores. I already experience that one day waiting about 45 minutes in line. That’s just plum crazy!

I’ve been busy making cards just for fun as I have all my Christmas cards done and sent out. This was a fun card to make and I’ll use it for somebody’s birthday as I have a lot of birthdays that hit in January and February when normally there’s snow on the ground.

Have a great day and merry Christmas and of course- happy Stamping -see you next year.

TSOT 586 plaid for Christmas

Hello, I’m sure glad to be back in the world of Stamping and blogging. I’ve been gone for a long time but I think probably I had a good reason. I had to make an emergency flight to Texas to help care for some grandchildren. Our youngest grandson Jackson(5 months) was a children’s hospital with Infant botulism. They said it’s very rare and only about 100 babies a year get it. Very mysterious as you will never know how he got it. It can come from honey, dirt, air.  He is nursed full-time so they know it wasn’t from honey. This is why babies under a year are not to have honey. Although the circumstances with me flying to Texas were stressful, I had a wonderful time with the two at home that I was caring for while my son was at work. I stayed a little while longer after he came home. He is still having some problems. It affects the muscles in the body. He has a NG feeding tube that they use along with nursing because his neck muscles and sucking reflex was hit hard. He will probably have some therapy as time goes on.

So after getting home, getting sick and spending thanksgiving on the couch 🥴.  I’m finally getting back on my Ohio feet.  I’ve been busy working on bulk production of Christmas cards.  (These will be sent to “special” people in my life as I watercolored them.)

Thanks to all in the Try Stamping family for understanding and giving me time off.  I’ll really work to be a part of all of you again and post my visions. God bless and a very merry Christmas season to you all.
