Optional theme- do you think I got it nailed?  Bold Color

These little robots have been waiting for me to ink them up so I decided that they would do just fine with bold colors.  This is a Stampin Up Card Kit. (Robot Buddies) There are quite a few to pick from and they come with stamp set, decorative adhesive pieces, a mini stamp pad (sometimes 2),  card bases, envelopes, stamp dimensionals... everything you need to make the cards is in the package. They even send step by step directions showing how to make suggested cards or you can just do your own thing!  

 I’ve been searching for different fun fold cards to make and came across this one. (Dawn’s stamping thoughts on YouTube-Double pop up)  The directions were easy to follow,  it of course I altered mine a bit.  

I did follow the sketch and with the bold colors the theme also 😁!  Would love to see what you come up with, have a great day and if you have a minute I’d love to know what you think!  Happy stamping.

TSOT 561– Fun in the Sun

 

When I saw the inspiration phrase for this week my mind immediately went to a retired stampin’ up set. I thought about trying to do something with a flower set because I enjoy flowers, but my mind kept going to this set. So instead of fighting it I decided to see what I could come up with.   That’s the name of this retired Stampin Up set -Fun in the Sun. I think it was one of the first stamps that I ever bought to use for cards for children.  Most children like summer because of all the time they get to be outdoors and not sitting at a desk.  I decided to try and make a card using both the inspiration and the sketch.  I’ve used quite a few of the images but not all from this nice big set.

Hey I’m back!! I had a much needed vacation and time away from caring for my mother in law. We took a long trip.. from Ohio to Texas to see our new grandson 😊.  We think he’s pretty handsome/cute, we may be prejudice though. This grandma thinks he lives to far away!😳

 

I decided with Father’s Day around the corner to make a masculine card, that’s our theme also.  I have used some retired DSP that has a plaid in it for the Double Trouble request.  I paired it up with a retired Stampin Up set.

I didn’t follow the sketch, this is a neat way to show off both sides of the DSP and use up some of it!!  

Cut your DSP 5.5x12. Score at 1 3/4,  4 3/4, and 7 3/4. Fold — I adhered the 1 3/4 section down so the card had a bit more stability for my focal image -this is optional.
