TSOT #477 Thankful

Hey hello, It's been awhile since I've put a card up.  Life happens sometimes and we just don't have time to stamp, craft .....  My husband and I took a mini vacation, gardening before and when we returned really took a bunch of time, health, helping others it all takes up our(my) creative time!!  I was glad to be able to get in my room even if it was out of necessity - I had a stamp camp and the day before worked up a card.  

    My card sort of matches the sketch, I used a panel for under my focal point that is from a 6x6 piece of DSP, oh how I love these plaids!  I found a tutorial that showed how to cut a 6x6 piece to make 4 pieces all the same size like what's under my focal image.  I thought is was rather interesting so I've use it here and two more at the bottom.  Our theme-coloring is always optional and I did color my wreath.

TSOT #473 Merry Christmas

Hello if you’re here I’m so glad. Do you know one of the things that’s really irritating is... computers, Internet connections, and the like when they don’t work! I have been having trouble with mine so right now I’m on my sons and I am getting this done fast. We were supposed to do something with regal colors this week.  I had been looking through my stamps trying to decide if I wanted to get the new stampin up poinsettia stamp set and realized I have three different poinsettia stamp sets so I don’t believe I will buy another one. I was coloring some and used cherry cobbler and old olive. To me those are regal colors even though this is a Christmas card.  I hope you have time to join us with this one. It’s a pretty easy sketch to follow, my poinsettia is in the place of the circle and then the strip with my sentiment on it and some red rhinestones beside it. 

My husband and I are actually going to be able to get away for a little bit beginning of September so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to post for the next week or two. Guess that just depends on if I Can get into my craft room or not and my internet issues. The garden is producing well, I have fruit that I am canning.  We’re trying to work at cleaning out a house over at my mother-in-law’s so that’s taking up some of my time also.

😉  So what is your favorite beverage, Hot or cold? That's our optional theme -  I really like a good cup of black coffee later in the day with a piece of Dark chocolate that would be wonderful!!  I haven't been able to participate for a couple months, family and internet problems came up.  All is better and I finally got in my craft room, yea!!!!  Thanks for stopping by and I do hope you'll join us and use either the sketch, the theme or maybe like I did both.

Happy birthday Gwen!!

 My granddaughter turned 4 Monday the 17th. She is such a blessing!!  Used my Magic Iris Dies to make this interactive card, it was fun. I did find out though that the layer that has the moving pieces connected to it (some call a balloon or sausage) need to be heavyweight card stock-no skimping or it starts to buckle and won’t move very easily!!

We’re celebrating on Sunday if everyone is well - they have head colds🥴.
