Try Stampin on Tuesday technique challenge #1

Hello all, not sure this will get on the main page. I completely missed this on our demonstrator page and was to have it on the demo. page by  Sat. the 30th. (for Jan 2018) I had so much fun I made 2 cards! on the 31st. ending the year stamping!!!!    :0)

This year has been such a challenge for my family and I decided to make a card for my brother in law. My sister who we lost to leukemia in October loved cats and her husband is a vet and they enjoyed riding the motorcycle with the legion riders.  This card honors both of those loves. To make this card I sponged the sky and stamped the motorcycle on the back  panel then cut the cat shape and placed it over in my desired position.  Oh yes I ran the top through the bigshot to give it a bit of texture and then added the sentiment and the dots. (Pretty easy to figure that one out)

This next card was inspired by a card that I saw on Pinterest, don't you just love that site?  All the ideas and inspiration there are so helpful and I really love going and seeing what others have been making, Card ideas, techniques, and helpful tips!!!

This card came together very easily,  I did make a homemade mask though that would hold up to sponging.  I didn't want it thick so I  used a piece of copy paper, I put packing tape on it thinking it might hold up to more than one use. (I only did one side if I do this again, and I will,  I'm going to try putting the packing tape on both sides as a small area between two petals did rip). This tape covered  a big enough area that I could die cut the shape and be able to sponge my color onto the whisper white card stock.  (that is what I'd call the negative)  I had a second die cut that only cut the outside of this flower and that is what I used to cut the top piece of whisper white at the edge for the  flower and the hello word.  I used Calypso Coral and sponged, the whisper white layers were adhered to a calypso coral card base. When finished I added a little bling with the clear rhinestones.

Try Stampin' Challenge 352

Ok  I guess you could say this is a "late" card.  What happens when your late? In school you might get docked in your grade, in the Dr. office you may have to wait a LONG time or reschedule your appointment, in Try Stampin' on Tuesday the card may not be on their web page.  Now the other thing about this card is that I Did Not follow the sketch!!  BUT I did SORTA follow the Theme: Time to Celebration
It has been snowing here in Ohio and that means celebration time because there is no school.  I know, I know I'm stretching that theme a bit. :0)

It's December and I found I had limited time to work on a card for this time around so I'm posting the card that my senior apartment complex folks are going to make today (Tuesday) unless the snow keeps coming and I don't feel it's safe to  go this afternoon.    I designed it with that in mind though and it could be used in January with a different saying.  Thanks for stopping, and have a Very Merry Christmas!

Try Stampin' on Tuesday Challenge 351

hello all, I'm hoping this will be okay, I kinda made it from memory of what the sketch looked like it isn't exactly like the sketch but that is what I love about this site, we have the choice and freedom to do it "our way"- It was a quick- mix, match use up things laying on my desk card!!! I found the night of navy card stock with the snowflakes and thought I'd use it for this challenge as I didn't have a lot of time to make something.  Then I scrounged around and found the DSP already cut and added the Early Espresso card stock behind it.  The little wreath is from an OLD Stampin' Up set I stamped a couple times with Garden Green and I added rhinestones (I had colored with a red marker for another project and didn't need all of them). The Merry Christmas is from an old Stampin' Up set also but I just love the font and use it often at Christmas time. Have fun with this sketch it is a good one.  If you didn't come from the Try Stampin' on Tuesday page be sure to check out the other designers cards they are all GREAT.  Just click here and it will take you there. Thanks for stopping by and checking out my vision, Happy Stamping!

Try Stampin' on Tuesday #350

Well here it is, I played around with a couple different ideas and then came up with this. I kinda like it, I do hope you enjoy playing with this sketch.  I did not follow the suggested theme, but remember it is just a suggestion.  Have a great day.

#349 Try Stampin' On Tuesday

It just occured to me that our name allows you to stamp on Tuesday but we as designers have to stamp on a different day so this goes live for you to see on Tuesday :0) So I've said all that to say that I stamp on the other days of the week for these postings, I'm so glad to stamp on any day of the week aren't you?
Having a one and three year old at this stage of my life I'm finding is tiring!  How did I ever do it with 4 at the age of 5 and under?!?! My daughter-in-law is having the extended family for Thanksgiving(around 25-30) so I've been a very hands on Grandma for a couple weeks so she can get some deep cleaning done. Today was an unexpected day to babysit so I'm getting this up at the end of the day.
I really enjoy making easel cards and have had this thought in my head all week and finally got the card done. Now I do hope that you'll join us for this sketch, we sure would love to see a lot of postings!

Here is the sketch to try using if you so desire and the optional theme below. I think I got this one with the silver bells and the easel card both. What do you think?  (I did NOT cut all the jungle bells out by hand :0)  they were cut with a die from Stampin' Up after I heat embossed them with silver.)  What do you think? I probably will Not be mass producing this one even with the die help.  Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear from you. By the way Happy Thanksgiving!

94 years young - TSOT #348

Oh Hello!! here we are on Tuesday again with another challenge.  I'm so glad you've stopped by.  My card for this challenge was made for my Mother-in-law who turned 94 last month.  She really loves to watch hummingbirds and has a feeder outside every year.  So in honor of her 94th  birthday I made this card.  I think the sketch is one that could be used so many different ways, be sure to check out all the other designers just click here Try Stampin' to go to the home page.

Challenge # 347 with a little surprise!!

Hello everyone!  It is November, wow has this year ever flown by. Try Stampin is now under new management, we are all sad to see CherylAnn go but really owe her a deep well of gratitude for starting this challenge site and picking us to be on it.  The site will mostly stay as is with possibly a few minor changes.  We do hope that you will keep playing along with us and please let us know if there is something that you like or don't like. We want to keep you with us creating cards and gifts, it really is so rewarding to have someone grateful for the time spent to create for them.

I worked on this card last week and hadn't put it all together when I had a light bulb moment.  I've had this Katherine pop out die for about 4 months and haven't used it yet.  When I was looking at my card thinking it needs something more I realized it would be great with the pop out.  This die can be used with a window card opening like I have here or  without for a greater surprise to the recipient,
I have an inside picture below.  Check out all the other designers and be sure to add your card for this challenge.  (just click the blue word designers and it will take you directly to Try Stampin' site)
