Birthday - Summer Fun with TSOT
Try Stampin' on Tuesday or Not has another good challenge # 272, Summer Fun is the theme! There are so many different ideas for this one. I had a LATE birthday card for a 2 year old great niece. I KNOW late for a 2 year old shame on me!!! So I did a swirly birthday card with balloons. New and old Stampin' Up supplies made this card and the inside is the very old paper explosion. I even made her a little purse with some sweety's in it. Thanks for stopping by and looking at my Vision.

Masculine Card for CCC #113
It's time for another challenge at the Creative Card Crew blog. We've been challenged with a Masculine Theme for the next two weeks. Now don't let this scare you off, I know making for women can seem so much easier but men are just as thankful for a homemade card. (many aren't quite so picky) Our wish for you is to be challenged and sometimes going out of our comfort zone is good. So I'll be waiting to see what you come up with.

I have two pictures for you today. The first is my card, it is stamped as I have lots of stamps that go or men and don't have any digi's.
I often fall back on a farm scene for men since we live on a farm and farming community. I did one of my favorite techniques - sponging. I really love how it turned out. It was so easy to do the barn because I'm the now owner of the stamping tool called the MISTY. Oh my if you haven't seen this tool you should check it out. It made stamping the barn soooo easy with all the different marker colors I used. I'm glad I invested in it and would recommend to to all. It is made by My Sweet Petunia, and there are You Tube videos of it in action.
Now for my second picture - Have you ever asked yourself - How did she do that? I have many times! This is a picture of some of my "tools of the trade". :0)
There are two brushes - one is a regular brush with a really fine tip and the other is a watercolor brush. It has the water in it so you don't have to have a cup of water sitting to spill and ruin your card. Ask me how I know about that, grrr, tee hee. The plastic lid is what I use to put my color on.
I could not do the sponging technique without sponges. I get round ones then cut them in wedges and attach the name on the top, one sponge for each color. You'll see beside the sponge there something that looks white. Well that is a scrap piece of packing styrofoam that I cut. I used it so give the grass a textured look on the hill to the barn. So many times there are things in our houses that we can use in our crafting and just need to be encouraged to try new things.
Laying on the plastic lid is a white piece of paper towel. I use them to make clouds in the sky and did that on this card. I love how the paper towel is a little jagged when torn and that is so much more realistic looking.
The tools listed above are all sitting on the MISTY check them out if you haven't.
I thank you for suffering through my rambling post. I just hope that something that I've shared will help and challenge you to try something new. Have a great day and come back again to see more of Vicki's Visions.

Stamp camp card #2
Here it is, finally I told you to check back for the second card and I'm just now getting it up, sorry. Here we used a retiring stamp set and colors, Lost Lagoon and the stamp set called - Amazing Birthday. We used some gold accenting on this, it could be used for either male or female. I sorta designed it so that if someone had a graduation to go to it could be used for that also. Thanks for stopping by, could you? would you? please leave me a comment sometime. It is so nice to hear from anyone, I wonder sometimes if anyone is looking. Have a great day.

April showers bring May Flowers TSOT # 270
Hello all I can hardly believe it is May already and that a third of the year is over. Try Stamping on Tuesday or Not has another challenge my post title gives you a clue as to the theme. May is one of my favorite months of the year, Spring !! and I'm into the garden along with Flowers. I love to decorate my porch with hanging flowers and I have to admit that I often lean towards yellows, oranges, and reds. I'm limited as to what I can put there as it is mostly shade. I decided to CASE a card I saw on a video that I watched. If your not familiar with this acronym it stand for copy and share everything. I embossed the flowers with white then covered the flowers with liquid frisket. After letting it dry I stamped over and sponged with the retiring Tangelo Twist. I then rubbed the liquid frisket off with my fingers, looks like I missed covering a few places. Oh well I like it and think it gives the card a little more depth. I was going to leave it with the Monochromatic look then decided to add the dragon fly with the retiring Mossy Meadow. The Happy Birthday came from an old set that was retired a few years back.
Speaking of retiring, did you know that this is the last month to order from the current catalog? If you are in need of anything be sure to order soon with your demonstrator AND if by chance you don't have a demonstrator I'd be more than happy to help you out. I will say that there is a price increase on some of the Accessories. Some of the retired items(stamps and accessories) are discounted anywhere from 20-50% . There are items that are already unavailable and many getting close.
Thank you again for stopping by and if you look below you'll see the inspiration sketch and our theme- it is non other than Flowers!!

Margaret's Stamp camp #1 for May
Hello everyone, I had fun today coming up with this first card for Margaret's stamp camp on Tuesday. You know the saying, April showers bring May flowers. I planted a rose bush and some Dahlias, then headed to my craft room and I decided to try something new and have them do a little water coloring. I embossed the flower(on the retired list!!) on water color paper ahead of time as we have a limited time to do our two cards. This is the gorgeous color Blackberry Bliss that will be retiring the end of this month. I have become more of a purple lover and this color is so rich and deep that I know I'll miss it. Thanks for taking a peek and if you've got the time leave me a comment on which one of these cards you like the best. Thanks

Anything Goes challenge 112 with Creative Card Crew
Hello and welcome to another Creative Card Crew challenge. We always seem to get lots of participation with this type of challenge!! It is fun to be challenged with a theme but sometimes we crafters just love letting those creative juices flow!! I'm glad you stopped by and I hope I've maybe given you a little inspiration.

I need to tell all of you stopping by that the card I made this time around is actually stamped. My Father fell and broke 4 ribs so I was out of town last week helping him when I made this card. I had taken some of my stamping supplies but none of the digital files. Don't let that stop you from playing along it all will be accepted.
I have been wanting to try my hand at No-Line watercoloring. I colored the flower on watercolor paper and then cut it out with a new stamp set and die that I have. This is a technique that I'd love to work with again as I LOVE how this one turned out. Thanks for stopping by, have a great inspiring time checking out all the other designers and participants work.
