Birthday card fun

Made this card for my father to send to a grandson. I found the pattern for this fold on Pinterest and then altered it some. It has the belly band around it for added demension as the fold will stay closed without it. Fun interactive card!

Embossing (wet or dry) Creative Card Crew #111

Welcome back!!  It is that time again, seems the weeks just fly by anymore.  The off and on nice weather here in Ohio has brought about more outside activities so that probably contributes to it.

I love embossing, either wet or dry, and love doing it.  I chose to do a dry embossing card with vellum and card stock.  I REALLY like the way it turned out.  I stamped with a white ink pad and then turned the velum over placed it on a soft pad and used an embossing tool to make it stand out more. I didn't use the embossing folders on this one, it was all done free hand.    :0)
( this style of embossing is often referred to as Pergamano)

Our sponsor for this challenge will be:    Sparkle N Sprinkle

Prize:  Up to $15 in digi's

Try Stampin' On Tuesday # 266

Hello, it's time again for Try Stampin' On Tuesday.  This is our sketch and theme, what would you do with it?  I decided not to use the theme on this one. I was playing around with a new to me way to make shakers for on cards, this sorta just happened with the balloons.

Creative Card Crew challenge 110 - Die Cuts

Has two weeks passed already?  Seems like the time flies, especially when the weather starts to improve.   Now I don't dislike snow and cold but I enjoy spring so much more!!  Here's a question for you,  Are you a hopper or a joiner?   Do you just go around looking at the challenges or do you join us in the challenge by creating your masterpiece?   I do hope that you will join in and show us what you can do.  This challenge was fun, I had a hard time trying to narrow down which dies I would use.  I just bought this star spray die and thought it would be fun to use.  The rest of the card just came together.  The little mouse is sitting on the empty cake stand, now did he eat all the cake or just jump up there to point out that a party without cake....

Our sponsor this time is  Fabrika Fantasy AND Marianne Designs  We would love to see you have a chance to win a prize but in order for you to win you must play,  All you have to do is use a die cut on your card some place.  Is your mind spinning?  Hope so, can't wait to see what you come up with.

Prize: photo to follow

I made a side step card, the balloons are from a punch that Stampin' Up sells (sorta like a die, right?)
The stars all came from a new Poppy die.  I cut it out three times and then pieced the connected stars with blue and yellow over a silver metal one.  The main panel with the mouse I used an embossing folder from Stampin' Up called Confetti- it has an oval space in the middle that is plain, the DSP came from?  just a piece I had laying around.    Well that's my vision, what do you think?  Hope you'll leave me a comment letting me know,  I read every one!!  Thanks for stopping by.

Homemade DSP

Have you ever made your own DSP paper? I have a few times, there’s a YouTube channel called Artful Stamping with Ruth that I enjoy watching...
