PPA 193

Decided to do a little stamping  since I didn't have something posting today . I was checking out the challenges and decided that the PPA one would work with this background watercolor paper.  I have been trying different colors and ways to do this technique - not sure what it's called -  take the stamp pads and direct to paper method smear the color on a piece of wax paper try not to overlap the colors so you don't mess up your pads, I started with the lightest color then went in with a medium and darker color and added some in the empty spaces. After you have your color down spray generously with water to get the colors to bleed a little.  Place the watercolor paper over this and press down moving it around just a little.  Carefully lift and set aside to dry or dry with heat gun if your in a hurry to use your masterpiece (if there is a place not covered you can try putting down again or leave as I did on this one and sponged a little color to cover).  Thought this one looked like a sunset sky, added a tree from Lovely as a Tree stamp set(I just LOVE this set!!).  Darling Dots embossing folder on the Tempting Turquoise card stock gave the border a little extra pizzaz and then copied on the turquoise panel down the front where I used 3 daffodil butterflies - embossed with the square lattice folder.  The punched Bitty Butterflies were made with the Window sheet, stamp pad, crystal effects, reynolds wrap combination ? on the name of this technique - maybe stained glass window sheet ?  I liked the black cardstock border under all this as it finished off the card nicely.  Oh yes I did use a post it note mask along the bottom of the watercolor paper to put a grass line on it, sponged around the whole thing with black. thanks for stopping by let me know what you think, I love hearing from you.
